Listen to Feist’s New Song, ‘Pleasure’

Leslie Feist, better known simply as Feist, has been out of the public eye for a good while now, but a few days ago she surfaced to announce Pleasure, her first new album in almost six years. And today, as Pitchfork reports, she has released its eponymous first single. This is a more elemental, rhythm-driven, and less straightforwardly pop Ms. Feist — at least as fas as this one track is concerned. In a tweet about the album’s title and vibe she said, “The experience of pleasure is mild or deep, sometimes temporal, sometimes a sort of

The veteran left tackle market thinned out early in free agency, but Ryan Clady wasn’t among the players to find homes.

His efforts to change that reportedly include a trip to Seattle. Field Yates of ESPN.com reports that Clady visited with the Seahawks on Friday.

Clady was traded to the Jets before last season and started at left tackle for the first half of the season before going on injured reserve with a torn rotator cuff. It’s the third time in the last four years that Clady suffered a season-ending injury and his inability to remain healthy has

All three men were arrested separately when entering Syria between 2001 and 2003. They say they were tortured and interrogated, and some of the questions they were asked were based on information that could only have come from Canada.

Tales of deportation in Trump's America

“We’re getting really bad dudes out of this country, and at a rate that nobody’s ever seen before.”

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) raids have been executed across the nation. Hundreds of people have been apprehended and deportation proceedings have been initiated for them.

The Bengals announced Friday that they’ve signed restricted free agent offensive lineman T.J. Johnson to a new two-year contract.

The team extended a tender to Johnson earlier this month. He was a seventh-round draft choice in 2013.

Johnson played in every game last season and started the season finale at left guard. He played in 12 games in 2015, and bringing him back became a priority when the Bengals lost Andrew Whitworth and Kevin Zeitler in free agency. Johnson figures to compete for a starting guard spot and again be the team’s backup center.

So Many Pharaohs: A Possible Case of Mistaken Identity in Cairo

CAIRO — The pharaonic statue that was discovered in a Cairo slum last week, believed to depict to Ramses II, one of ancient Egypt’s best known rulers, most likely is of a lesser-known pharaoh, the Egyptian authorities said on Thursday.

The colossus bore a strong resemblance to Ramses II, one of the most influential figures of the ancient world, who was celebrated for architectural wonders and military conquests. During his long

5 Tips for Building a Strong Brand Identity

“Know thyself.” It’s an old saying, but one more business owners would do well to heed. There are many brand-related mistakes an entrepreneur can make, like overdoing an ad campaign or not being transparent about your products, but perhaps the biggest mistake an entrepreneur can make is having a poorly defined brand identity.  And yet, it happens all the time.

Why is this such a big deal? Think about when you go to a job interview, you will probably dress a certain way, highlight key experience or maybe even modulate your voice to be different than it would be in casual conversation. Essentially, you’ve

Because It's St. Patrick's Day, Let's All Remember The 'Greatest Leprechaun Sighting of All Time'

It’s Saint Patrick’s Day, a venerable Irish holiday that has been taken over by folks who think they need an excuse to wear green and get shitfaced. There’s more to this day than finding yourself in the back of a police cruiser covered in green barf and wondering why you’re wearing someone else’s underwear. St. Paddy’s day is steeped in Irish myth and lore.

Some of that myth and lore came to visit Alabama eleven years ago today, and the internet hasn’t been the same since.

Anger over corrupt politicians could open door to 'Bulgaria's Trump'

By Angel Krasimirov | SOFIA

A self-described Bulgarian Donald Trump, who gained prominence in politics last year with a pledge to “sweep away corrupt elites”, could hold the balance of power in a parliamentary election in Bulgaria on March 26.

An owner of a pharmacy chain and petrol filling stations, among other businesses, Veselin Mareshki, 49, shocked political observers in November when he came fourth in a presidential ballot, scoring 11 percent of votes.

Since then, he has used populist and nationalist rhetoric to tap into growing anger among many Bulgarians over the inability of their post-communist

Ike Taylor 'strongly' thinks Darelle Revis should retire

Ike Taylor ‘strongly’ thinks Darelle Revis should retire

Ike Taylor knows a little bit about playing cornerback. In his 12-year career with the Steelers from 2003-14, he was a staple of the secondary for three Super Bowl appearances — two of them victories.

And he thinks free agent and former All-Pro corner Darrelle Revis — a Pitt and Aliquippa product — should call it quits.

Taylor made his case in a column published on NFL.com Friday, laying out relevant statistics on how Revis’ performance has suffered of late, then casting doubt on a possible position change from corner to safety.

Taylor wrote:

Could he play safety? I don’t think it would be a good move for him, but yes. And he wouldn’t be the first cornerback to switch to safety late in his career, as many others have made a smooth transition, including Charles Woodson and Rod Woodson. Revis has the IQ and attributes — as a strong tackler with good instincts — to contribute on several teams at the safety position, but again, it won’t be at a high level. … From my point of view — as a former cornerback who played in the NFL for 12 seasons — I strongly think Revis should retire.

Revis, who had assault and other charges related to a South Side incident dismissed Wednesday, told reporters at a court appearance Downtown that playing for the Steelers would be a “dream come true.” Speculation that the team might be mutually interested has only intensified after the front office whiffed on a few free agent targets this week.

Taylor, though, believes Revis — who has played for the New York Jets, New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers — has nothing left to prove. He has a Super Bowl ring and more than $100 million in career earnings to go with seven Pro Bowl appearances, four All-Pro selections and an AFC defensive player of the year award in 2009.
